Revisions to the Protective Covenants

It has been a number of years since we have revised the Protective Covenants to the subdivision.

An amended version of the Protective Covenants has been prepared; the new language is shown in bold, italicized type. These revisions have been approved by the Board of Directors and reviewed by Association counsel.

These changes cover a number of areas including permissible garden houses or storage sheds, exterior paint colors, and the use of recreational equipment. There are also new provisions concerning the maintenance of properties and the ability for the Homeowners Association to correct nuisances.

Homeowners must be given at least 30 days to review changes in the Protective Covenants before any actions can be taken. Therefore, these changes will be discussed at our spring, 2009 Homeowners meeting.

For those homeowners who wish to use it, a ballot has been attached to accept or reject the proposed covenant changes. If you would like to vote prior to the spring meeting, please complete the attached form and send it to Lee Lutz, Secretary, Goldcrest Association 1450 Sunnyvale Court, Olympia, WA 98502. These ballots must not be dated before December 20, 2008.
